Oatmeal makes a great breakfast choice, and so does this fruit muesli. Instead of reaching for your usual sugary breakfast cereal, opt for oatmeal instead. Oatmeal is low in fat and high in fibre and other essential nutrients, which makes it a great way to start your day.

  • 135g rolled oats
  • 235g apple, diced
  • 150g raisins
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 150g banana, sliced
  • 20g slivered almonds
  1. Prepare oatmeal according to package directions.
  2. Add apples, raisins, honey, lemon juice and cinnamon. Stir well.
  3. Cover and let stand in the refrigerator overnight.
  4. Heat in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Before serving, top with bananas and almonds.
